Business Development Manager
As Business Development Manager, you are a relentless business opportunity seeker, you will build upon your existing success in business-to-business sales to grow our translation client base by acquiring new clients, servicing existing clients and generating orders from existing accounts.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Take the initiative to develop new client relationships via cold calling, the Internet, client referral and trade shows
- Build a pipeline of new business opportunities through effective market research and competitor analysis.
- Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service
- Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production Management Team
- Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
- Prepare and submit service offers and quotations
- Prepare and manage replies to RFP/RFI’s
- Take an active role in learning about each client’s industry, business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service
- Manage individual sales funnel: keeping on top of leads and following through to close the sale
- Use the CRM system to record all communication with customers/prospects
- 2-3 years of previous selling experience in the translation industry
- Superior written and spoken communication skills both in French and English
- Good analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets and other necessary calculations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to: multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work well with people, build relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service
